How to use this purchase order generator
A purchase order (PO) is the document you send to a supplier to order materials at agreed prices. This generator produces a professional PO in about two minutes — no signup, no watermark on your first documents, and instant PDF download. Here is the fastest way to use it.
Step 1 — Enter your business details. Under "Your business", add your company name, address, email and phone. These appear in the PO header and are what the supplier uses to identify the order. Set your currency and PO number in the document settings bar — a simple sequence like PO-001, PO-002 works fine.
Step 2 — Add the supplier and delivery details. Enter the supplier's name and (optionally) the delivery address and required date. Clear delivery instructions reduce follow-up calls and disputes about what was ordered.
Step 3 — Add line items. For each material, enter the description, quantity, unit (m², m, each, box, roll) and unit rate. The generator totals the order live. If you already have quantities from a calculator — flooring packs, paint litres, tile boxes — paste them straight in.
Step 4 — Review and download. Check the totals, then hit generate. You get a clean PDF purchase order you can email to the supplier. Uploading a photo of an existing PO uses AI to extract the details for you (5 free scans per day).
A good PO states: PO number, order date, supplier, delivery address and date, itemised materials with quantities and rates, and your business details.
