Trade calculators

Five trade-specific calculators cover the most common measurement needs:

• Concrete calculator — slab & footing volume, area & formwork, smart component, falls & gradients

• Bird's mouth calculator — dedicated bird's mouth, smart component, angle finder

Each calculator supports metric and imperial units. Results appear instantly with material quantities and waste allowances.

Smart Component calculator

The Smart Component tab lets you pick a material type, enter your measurements, and get a complete material list with waste applied — similar to how components work inside QuoteCore+ itself.

Smart Component Creator

The Smart Component Creator is a standalone tool that lets you build a complete material list from measurements, with waste applied. Pick a material type, enter your dimensions, and get quantities, pack sizes, and costs. Drafts save automatically and carry over to QuoteCore+ when you sign up.

Free document generators

Three tools let you create professional documents without signing up:

• Quote generator — build a printable quote, download as PDF
• Invoice generator — create an invoice with line items, download as PDF
• Purchase order generator — generate a PO for suppliers, download as PDF

All three support pre-filling from URL parameters, so you can link to a pre-filled document. Documents can be printed to PDF directly from the browser.

Account tiers and usage limits

The free tools have usage limits that scale with your account status:

AI parses are a combined daily limit across image and text parsing. Image parsing lets you upload a plan photo or screenshot and the AI extracts measurements. Text parsing accepts typed descriptions of a job.

Document generations are a combined daily limit across quotes, invoices, and purchase orders.

Saving documents to your QuoteCore+ account

If you have a QuoteCore+ account with an active subscription, you can save free tool documents directly into your workspace:

1. Create a quote, invoice, or purchase order in the free tools.
2. Click Save to App.
3. Enter the email associated with your QuoteCore+ account.
4. The tool checks your subscription, quotas, and document limits.
5. On success, you're redirected to the app with the document ready to edit.

This works for all three document generators. Saved documents behave exactly like ones created inside the app — full editing, sending, and tracking capabilities.

Free Roof Takeoff Builder

The Roof Takeoff Builder is a free tool that calculates a complete roof takeoff from your measurements - areas, ridges, hips, valleys, barges, spouting, underlay, fixings, and custom components.

What it does

• Enter roof area, pitch, and linear measurements (hips, ridges, valleys, barges, gutters)
• The engine calculates quantities with waste applied, pitch adjustments, and pack sizes
• Pick a supplier to pre-load their component library and pricing
• Send the full takeoff to a supplier as an enquiry (detailed quote, order request, pricing question, or general)
• Print or download the results as PDF
• Convert the takeoff into a QuoteCore+ quote when you sign up

Guided and Fast modes

• Guided walks you through each measurement step by step with explanations
• Fast lets you enter all measurements on one page if you know your numbers

Supplier integration

If suppliers have published component libraries on QuoteCore+, their components and pricing appear in the builder. Select a supplier to see real prices, then click Send to Supplier to email them your takeoff for a formal quote or order.

AI agent access

The takeoff builder is accessible to AI agents and developers. Read the calculator schema, construct a GET calculation URL, and the server returns a fully rendered result page - no JavaScript or authentication required. See the GET calculation docs and API/MCP docs.

Converting to QuoteCore+

The free tools are designed to showcase the power of the full platform. When you're ready for saved templates, reusable components, digital takeoff, and customer acceptance tracking, sign up for a free trial.

• Smart Component drafts — your calculator work carries over when you sign up. Drafts are saved server-side and restored automatically on your dashboard with a "Restore draft" banner.
• Document drafts — quotes, invoices, and POs created in the free tools can be imported into your workspace with the Save to App button.
• Component conversion — Smart Component specs can be added directly to your component library with one click from the dashboard.
